This handbook is designed specifically for policy-makers who are not experts in gender issues, but who nonetheless are charged with the day-to-day responsibility of gender mainstreaming, according to organizational mandates. This handbook is meant to guide these professionals in their work. At the same time, this handbook will be interesting and useful to other groups concerned with mainstreaming.
