    APMAS project conducted its culminating meeting on ‘Lessons Learned and Ways Forward’ during 23 and 24 of January 2014, in Dusit Thani, Pattaya, Thailand.

    APMAS-GSM conducted Rapid Gender Assessment (RGA) for the Rewards for, Use of and Shared Investment in Pro‐poor Environmental Services Programme (RUPES II), Indonesia, during 2012.  RUPES II is an ICRAF’s programme and is funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). The Rewards for Environmental Services (RES) scheme of RUPES II, expects that benefits will flow directly to women and children.

    International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Nepal Country Programme is opening recruitment for several students to support IFAD supported projects in Nepal and Thailand. The interns are expected to work for the period of 3-5 months in Nepal supporting works of IFAD projects in Nepal and Thailand respectively. Upon the completion of the internship, the interns are expected to submit the following:

    Recognizing the need of gender awareness in IFAD projects and committed to promote IFAD’s new gender policy, APMAS-GSM had proposed a novel approach to build the in-house capacity of project staffs on gender mainstreaming. In this approach APMAS-GSM proposed to provide hands-on support to the projects to strengthen the gender related components of IFAD projects.

    Continuing the efforts to strengthen the expertise in project management and gender sensitive monitoring and evaluation for IFAD funded projects, APMAS organized training for the project managers, M&E officers and Gender experts of Vietnamese projects in Hanoi, during 26-30 November, 2012. The training was attended by 43 participants from projects in Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Ha Tinh, Quang Bin, Tuyen Quang, Ninh Thuan, Gia Lai, Dak Nong, and Ben Tre.

    Asian Project Management Support Program (APMAS) and IFAD Country Program Office, Indonesia are going to conduct a training program on “Leadership Beyond Boundaries” during 14-16 May in Jakarta, Indonesia.
