    APMAS’s supported capacity building coaching program of Rural Livelihoods Improvement Project (RULIP) Cambodia is in its completion phase after series of trainings, mentoring and hand-held coaching of RULIP staff by the local service providers VBNK and GADC. IFAD-funded livelihood security project RULIP covers three provinces in Cambodia these are Rattanakiri, Seam Reap and Preah Vihar.

    APMAS started its activities of 2013 with the phase two of project management capacity building of Lao PDR ‘s ADB-IFAD funded Sustainable Natural Resource Management and Productivity Enhancement Project (SNRMPE). The kick-off meeting of phase two was carried out on 15 January, 2013 at SNRMPEP’s head office at Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Vientiane.

    Starting on Monday, 22nd October in Bangkok, the Learning Route on the Thailand experience in Pro Rural Poor Public Private Partnership has been initiated. Sponsored by IFAD and organized jointly by APMAS, AIT-Extension and the PROCASUR Corporation will gather over 30 public and private rural development practitioners from Thailand, Vietnam, Lao PDR, India, Cambodia and Madagascar.

    Under the agreement with APMAS and Development and Policies Research Center (DEPOCEN), mentoring and on-the-job training was designed and implemented for officers of IMPP project in Tra Vinh and Ha Tinh in conducting their completion survey and at the same time improving the capacity for local officers. The trainings were held in Tra Vinh between 19 – 26 March 2012 and from 3 – 10 May 2012 in Ha Tinh.
