    Initiated with the request from IFAD Vietnam Country Programme, APMAS delivered training course on "Project Leadership and Management", in Hanoi, 23-26 April 2012. The training aims to address the pressing needs of project leadership capacity especially for the new projects in Vietnam.

    During January-December 2011, APMAS has sponsored 4 training courses in 2 thematic areas, project management and gender mainstreaming, one consultancy and coaching activities in the area of M&E RIMS (IFAD Result and Impact Management System), utilizing web-based APMAS Knowledge Platform and mailing list. APMAS has also developed APMAS Database as part of APMAS Management Information System, in order to better document and monitor performance the capacity building activities conducted under APMAS facility.

    In December 2011, APMAS conducted a training workshop on "Training Delivery Skills" in Bangkok. The workshop was offered to professional trainers, service providers and IFAD staffs who conduct trainings in their jobs, in order to improve their training planning and delivery skills. The workshop offered a unique and effective approach of learning by doing. Participants were asked to prepare a 20 minute training session of their choice and present it on the first day, followed by principles and theories on the next day.

    From 20 to 22 December 2011, APMAS conducted a workshop on "Training Delivery Skills". This workshop offers a structured approach to planning and delivering a training programme. Most experts and managers would have had experience of making presentations, whereas an effective training delivery goes beyond making presentations.

    APMAS-Gender is organizing a consultation meeting with RULIP Project Staff, Ministry of Women's Affairs, Ministry of Forests and Fisheries and other provincial department staffs to discuss a Gender Responsive Monitoring and Evaluation System for IFAD projects in Cambodia. The meeting will be conducted during 1-2 September, 2011 at Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

    IFAD Specialist on Financial Management, Mr. Shankar Achuthan Kutty and IFAD Country Office (ICO) Cambodia has planned to conduct IFAD Procurement Training for IFAD-supported project in Cambodia. The Procurement training imparts IFAD’s procurement guideline and discuss on practical issues in the project. Therefore an event was held in Siem Reap, Cambodia, 16-18 August 2011. Total of 48 participants from Project Support Unit Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery Cambodia, RULIP and upcoming PADEE project attended this training event.
