Gender Focal Point, Model Farmer Award, Women Groups and other Initiatives in Cambodia

Cambodia has taken a lot of initiatives for Gender Mainstreaming in year 2010. Ministry of Women's Affairs, Cambodia published lessons learned and emerging best practices on gender sensitivity in agriculture in year 2010. The publication titled 'Reaching Poor Rural Women: Gender Mainstreaming in Agriculture' features initiatives of Ministry of Women's Affairs (MOWA) and Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) for gender mainstreaming. Gender Equitable Development Projects

Understanding of gender issues is crucial to involvement of men and women’s in the projects as well as benefits to men and women from the projects. A Gender sensitive project involves both women and men at every level.
